01 · Overview

Introduction & Scope

§ 1.1 About This Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is published by Aura by WN ("we," "us," "our," "Developer"), the independent developer of Worker Attendance and CashBook ("the App"), available on the Google Play Store. This Policy governs how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the App.

Worker Attendance and CashBook is a business utility app designed to help shop owners, contractors, and small businesses mark daily worker attendance and maintain a simple cashbook/ledger of payments and expenses.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy.

02 · Data We Collect

Information Collected

§ 2.1 Information You Provide Directly

To operate its core features, the App stores data that you, the business owner/user, manually enter:

  • Worker names, roles, and optional contact details (e.g., phone number) that you add to manage your workforce
  • Daily attendance records — present/absent/half-day status marked per worker per date
  • Wage rate, payment, and advance entries associated with individual workers
  • Cashbook entries — income, expenses, descriptions, amounts, and dates that you log within the app
  • Your account email or phone number, if you sign in to sync data via Firebase Authentication
  • Any messages or feedback you send us directly for support purposes

This data is entered and controlled entirely by you. We do not independently verify or have a relationship with the workers whose attendance/payment records you create — you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record this information.

§ 2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device type, model, manufacturer, and Android OS version
  • Unique device/installation identifiers (Firebase Installation ID, Android ID)
  • App version and update history
  • Crash reports, error logs, and basic diagnostic/performance data
  • General usage patterns (e.g., which features are used) to help us improve the App
  • Approximate region/country derived from IP address, for diagnostic purposes only

The App does not request or collect precise GPS location at any point.

§ 2.3 Payment & Subscription Data

If the App offers premium features or in-app purchases, all payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play Billing. We never collect, see, or store your card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank details. We may only receive limited metadata from Google (e.g., purchase confirmation, subscription status) to unlock paid features on your account.

03 · How We Use Data

Purposes of Data Processing

§ 3.1 Why We Process Your Data

  • Core Functionality: To record, display, and let you edit attendance and cashbook entries
  • Cloud Sync & Backup: To securely sync your worker, attendance, and ledger data to Firebase so it isn't lost if you change devices
  • Account Management: To authenticate you and keep your business data private to your account
  • Reports & Calculations: To generate attendance summaries, wage totals, and cashbook balances within the App
  • Support: To respond to bug reports and help requests you send us
  • App Improvement: To understand crash patterns and improve stability and performance
  • Security: To detect and prevent unauthorized access to your account or data
✅ We do NOT use your worker, attendance, or financial data for advertising, profiling, or resale of any kind.
04 · Data Storage

Firebase & Local Storage

§ 4.1 Where Your Data Lives

Worker Attendance and CashBook uses Firebase Realtime Database (a Google Cloud service) to store and sync your worker records, attendance entries, and cashbook data tied to your account. Data may also be cached locally on your device for offline access and faster performance.

Access to your data within Firebase is restricted to your authenticated account. Aura by WN does not browse, sell, or use individual users' business records for any purpose other than providing app functionality and necessary support.

05 · Data Sharing

How Data Is Shared

§ 5.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data

Aura by WN does not sell, rent, lease, or commercially trade your personal data, worker records, or financial entries to any third party for any purpose.

§ 5.2 Limited Circumstances for Sharing

  • Service Providers: Infrastructure providers such as Firebase/Google Cloud, which host and process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations
  • Legal Requirements: When required by applicable Indian law, court order, or lawful government request
  • Safety & Security: To investigate fraud, abuse, or protect the rights and safety of users or the public
  • Business Transfer: If the App or developer account is ever transferred, your data may transfer under equivalent privacy protections, with notice provided where required
06 · Data Security

How We Protect Your Data

§ 6.1 Security Measures

  • Encrypted data transmission via SSL/TLS between the App and Firebase
  • Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated, authorized accounts only
  • No storage of raw payment credentials — all billing handled by Google Play
  • Regular review of app dependencies and security practices
⚠️ While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
07 · Data Retention

How Long We Keep Data

§ 7.1 Retention Periods

  • Account & App Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request
  • Worker, Attendance & Cashbook Records: Retained for as long as you keep them in the App, or until you delete them or your account
  • Diagnostic/Crash Data: Retained for up to 12 months, then anonymized or deleted
  • Support Communications: Retained for up to 2 years for reference

Upon expiry of these periods, data is securely deleted or anonymized so it can no longer be linked to you.

08 · App Permissions

Permissions We Request

§ 8.1 Android Permissions

  • Internet Access: Required to sync attendance and cashbook data with Firebase
  • Network State: Used to detect connectivity and manage offline/online sync
  • Storage (if applicable): Used only if you choose to export reports (e.g., as PDF/CSV) to your device

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or location unless a future feature explicitly requires it — in which case this Policy will be updated and your permission requested at that time.

09 · Children's Privacy

Age Restrictions

§ 9.1 Intended Audience

Worker Attendance and CashBook is a business management tool intended for use by adults — shop owners, contractors, supervisors, and business administrators. It is not directed at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If we become aware that a minor's data has been inadvertently collected, we will promptly delete it.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through this App, please contact us at wahid5nissar@gmail.com.

To exercise any of these rights, email wahid5nissar@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days of a verifiable request. You can also delete your account directly within the App's settings, where available, or by submitting a request via the email above.
